Why Our Church
RELATIONAL COMMUNITY
Everybody matters to God and He wants to be in relationship with all of us regardless of who we are, where we are, or what we have done. He wants us to be in relationship with one another. Our focus is to be in relationship with Him and each other.
WE LIVE TRANSFORMED AND ENCOURAGED LIVES
This is done by learning more about our Lord, connecting with Him and others, helping others, telling others about Him and worshiping Him. This is when life and faith become one.

Our Beliefs

We believe there is only one, living, eternal and true God who reveals Himself to us as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; (Genesis 1:1, 27; Matthew 6:9 & 7:11; John 1:1-18, 29; Rev 19:16; and Acts 1:8 & 2:14)

We believe that God inspired men to write the Bible to reveal Himself to humanity and is without error in its original text. It provides foundational instruction for daily living. (Ex 24:4, Ps 119:105, 2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Pet 1:21)

We believe that we are saved by God’s grace (unmerited favor) when we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We are sinful and do not have the ability to save ourselves, no matter how many good works we do. However, once we place our faith and trust in Christ, our faith will be evidenced by goo works, obedience, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Eph 2:8-10; Gal 5:22-23).

We believe that all who have truly placed their faith and trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord can never lose their salvation. However, the Bible is clear that those who do not place their faith and trust in Christ will suffer eternally in a Christless hell(John 10:28-29; 1 Jn 5:9-13; Rev 21:8)

We believe that each person who places their faith and trust in Jesus becomes a child of God, therefore having direct access to God without need of any intermediaries (Child of God; Hebrews 4:14-16)

We believe that baptism is for the true believer in Christ as a symbolic identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, but does not save anyone. Baptism is by immersion as an act of obedience by those who have entrusted themselves with Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 6:3-5)
Church Government
We believe that Christ is the Head of the church and that the congregation, under the
leadership of the Holy Spirit is the basic unit of church government. Pastors and members are to seek the will of God for guidance and to carry out their respective responsibilities to fulfill the will of God for His glory. (Col 1:18; Acts 13, 15) Responsibilities for pastors and members are listed in the Constitution and By-Laws.
